Molly Hurt

Counseling Intern, William & Mary

We all feel stuck sometimes, uncertain of what to do to feel better. A therapeutic relationship characterized by trust and warmth can provide a path for real change. With curiosity and compassion, we'll identify what is getting in your way toward greater wellness. Maybe you are drained from constant self-doubt, exhausted from navigating a difficult relationship, or struggling to change a behavior. Together, we'll focus on tuning into your needs and values. My goal is to help you gain practical coping skills, experience a greater sense of ease and lightness, and become grounded in your authentic self.

My specialties include anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, distress tolerance skills, and issues with self-confidence. I tailor my approach to each client, drawing from strengths-based, emotion-focused, mind-body, and cognitive approaches. With couples, we'll work to navigate resentment and hurt, improve communication, and reconnect.

Together, we'll identify what a fulfilling and meaningful life would look like for you and create a shame-free path toward sustained change. My approach is practical, genuine, and non-judgmental. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also include laughter, connection, and new insights.

I have availability for in-person appointments in Charlottesville, VA and I offer virtual sessions for clients throughout Virginia. I hope you will reach out to schedule a free introductory call.
